You Can Help:Help Christian Biker Missionaries with their mission to "bring hope to the highways" to reach the biker community for Jesus: Christian Biker Missionaries will train, support, and encourage those who have been called to fill-time ministry as missionaries to the biker community. Including lodging, food, fuel, motorcycle maintenance, the cost of attending rallies, tracts, Bibles and other materials, motorcycle maintenance, and compensation, it will cost approximately $60,000 per year to keep a biker missionary on the road full-time. While this may seem high, the cost of supporting the work of a full-time, traveling biker missionary in the United States is much more expensive than similar missionary work would cost in most foreign countries. The biker community is as much a “foreign country” as any piece of dry land you can point to on a globe. Bikers have their own language, form of dress, customs, and ways of doing things. The biker community is like a nomadic tribe traveling from place to place. Members of that community have disdain for the conventional world. Bikers would not give most church pastors the time of day. They will only listen to those who they feel are part of their “brotherhood.” Bikers will only hear and accept the Gospel from another brother or sister biker. This is where we stand in the gap for Christ. To do this difficult work, Christian Biker Missionaries must rely on the financial support of concerned individuals like you, churches, and Christian organizations. |
